El Kingdom Centre se encuentra localizado en el distrito de Al Olaya, Riyadh, Arabia Saudita, y fue elegido por el Príncipe Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud de entre 100 propuestas internacionales. El interesante rascacielos, que se erigió en un solar de 94.230 m², está situado estratégicamente entre dos importantes avenidas que le confieren un gran protagonismo, la Avenida Al Olaya en el noreste y la Avenida King Fahad en el suroeste; no obstante, la calle Al Oruba discurre al norte del edificio. El uso mixto del edificio consta de diferentes plantas de oficinas, residencias de lujo y un restaurante. Este majestuoso rascacielos de 302 metros de altura en su punto más alto está coronado por el "Sky-bridge" o "Puente del cielo", que corresponde a una plataforma de observación de acceso público situado a 290.40 metros de altura desde la que se divisa una bonita vista panorámica a ambos lados de la ciudad. Su espectacular fachada está conformada mediante un sistema de muro cortina revestido con nada menos que 85.000 m² de paneles de vidrio translúcido. El edificio posee una estructura de hormigón y acero y ofrece un servicio de 45 ascensores, 22 escaleras mecánicas y parking para 3.200 vehículos.
Un centro comercial llamado Al Mamlaka de cuatro plantas y que se sitúa a sus pies, está formado por un total de 161 tiendas. La propia planta del rascacielos cuenta con una superficie de 2.225 m² y la superficie total construida del edificio es de 185.000 m². Su cuidado diseño, en el que destaca el gran espacio abierto de 56 metros de altura en su parte superior y que hace que el edificio ofrezca menor resistencia frente al fuerte viento que un rascacielos de tipo convencional, se ha convertido en todo un emblema para esta ciudad. Hoy en día ( mayo 2010), sigue siendo el edificio más alto de Arabia Saudita y actualmente también ocupa el puesto número 42 en la lista de los 100 rascacielos más altos del mundo; también el número 7 del Medio Este. El espectacular rascacielos ha recibido varios premios importantes entre los que destaca el Premio de Honor a la Arquitectura por el AIA Instituto Americano de Arquitectos, Minnesota. Gracias al espacio abierto de la parte superior, el Kingdom Center y aunque posea 190 metros menos de altura, nos recuerda en gran medida al Shanghai World Financial Center de Shanghai, de 492 metros de altura estructural, ya que su figura es muy similar.

The Kingdom Centre is located in the district of Al Olaya, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and was chosen by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud of 100 international proposals. The interesting skyscraper to be erected on a plot of 94,230 m², is strategically located between two major avenues that give a leading role, Al Olaya Avenue in the Northeast and King Fahad Avenue in the Southwest, however, Al Street Oruba runs north of the building. The mixed-use building consists of several floors of offices, luxury residences and a restaurant. This majestic skyscraper 302 meters high at its highest point is crowned by the "Sky-bridge" or "Bridge of Heaven", which corresponds to an observation platform located public access 290.40 meters from which currency a beautiful panoramic view of both sides of the city. The spectacular facade is made by a curtain wall system covered with no less than 85,000 m² of translucent glass panels. The building has a concrete and steel structure and offers a 45 elevators, 22 escalators and parking for 3,200 vehicles.
A shopping center called Al Mamlaka four floors and which lies at his feet, consists of a total of 161 stores. Its elegant design, which highlights the large open space of 56 meters on top and that makes the building of least resistance to strong wind that a conventional skyscraper, has become an emblem for this city. Today (May 2010), remains the tallest building in Saudi Arabia and now also ranked number 42 in the top 100 tallest skyscrapers in the world, also the number seven in the Middle East. The spectacular skyscraper has received numerous prizes among which the Award of Honor by the AIA Architecture American Institute of Architects, Minnesota. Thanks to the open space at the top, the Kingdom Center, and even if it has less than 190 meters high, reminds us greatly to the Shanghai World Financial Center in Shanghai, a 492-meter-high structure, because its shape is very similar.
