Este nuevo Blog no pretende ser otra cosa que el fiel reflejo de mi visión sobre la Arquitectura y la Ingeniería a través de mis textos, mis imágenes, mis vídeos y mis artículos. Se hace muy dificíl por el momento viajar a todos los sitios que me gustaría, por lo que en algunas ocasiones no me queda más remedio que buscar las imágenes de determinadas obras a través de otros compañeros fotógrafos de todo el mundo y que elijo de forma exhaustiva para poder seguir adelante en este difícil mundo editorial. De este modo, este importante Blog se convierte en mi principal aliado, ya que se ha convertido, o por lo menos así yo lo he querido, en la base para mis futuros libros...

Me gusta enormemente la idea del Blog porque puedo publicar fotos, video y texto. Estos tres elementos son muy importantes porque de esta forma, a través de los buscadores puedo llegar a mucha gente a través de la red dándo a conocer todo mi enorme trabajo; espero también en poco tiempo tener numerosas y buenas referencias de enlaces en otros lugares a través de Internet. Por supuesto, no olviden nunca que estoy compartiendo amablemente gran parte de todo este enorme trabajo; espero que todo esto sea valorado en el futuro.

También hago la función de promocionar a otros compañeros fotógrafos aquí a través de sus bonitas imágenes; me gusta incluir enlaces hacia su Flickr o Web en agradecimiento por su gran ayuda con las imágenes; sin ese otro trabajo importante no sería posible engrandecer tanto este Blog. La elección de las imágenes publicadas en este Blog tomadas por otros compañeros fotógrafos de todo el mundo, reflejan lo que a mi me hubiese gustado captar con mi cámara en cada lugar.

Este Blog se convierte en el sitio perfecto para promocionar todo mi enorme trabajo y dedicación durante algunos años. Taipei 101, Taiwan, 1997-2004

Localizada en la ciudad de Taipei, capital de la isla de Taiwan al sur de China, la Taipei 101 con sus 509 metros de altura ostentaba el récord del mundo hasta la fecha siendo el rascacielos más alto, hasta que acaba de ser inaugurado en el inicio de este año 2010, el ya famoso Burj Dubai, con 828 metros de altura. Su diseño, que se llevó a cabo por la prestigiosa firma de arquitectos C. Y. Lee. & Partners, está inspirado en la arquitectura tradicional china y evoca la figura de una pagoda de 8 puntas, número de la suerte en este país. China se empeño en construir el rascacielos más alto del mundo y para ello tuvo que sobreponerse a varias dificultades añadidas como los habituales terremotos que azotaban esta zona geográfica durante gran parte del año. Los cálculos darían una cimentación con nada menos que 380 pilotes de 80 metros de profundidad cada uno. La superestructura del edificio está compuesta por 36 columnas interconectadas, ocho de ellas denominadas "Mega-columnas", debido a su dimensión, que se sitúan a modo de anillo en el perímetro del edificio. Estas 36 columnas son el soporte del rascacielos y tienen como misión transmitir las cargas a la cimentación del edificio.

La distribución de cada planta es sencilla, el espacio de oficinas se sitúa alrededor de un núcleo centralizado de servicios donde se alojan los ascensores y las escaleras de emergencia. El edificio cuenta con 48 ascensores que construyó la Empresa Toshiba para ofrecer el servicio más rápido y eficiente del mundo. En la planta 92, una enorme bola de acero de 680 toneladas de peso sujetada por fuertes cables y 8 gatos hidráulicos, le dan la estabilidad que necesita el edificio para soportar terremotos de hasta 7 puntos en la escala Richter y vientos de más de 450 Km./h. El Consejo de Edificios Altos y Hábitat Urbano(CTBUH), con sede en Chicago, otorgaría también a la Taipei 101 varios records; altura máxima estructural: 509 metros; altura del piso más alto ocupado: 438 metros; y altura de la azotea: 448 metros. El famoso Canal de Televisión Discovery Channel concedería el galardón a la Torre de Taipei como una de las Siete Maravillas de la Ingeniería en 2005. Además, en abril de 2006, la prestigiosa revista Newsweek Magazine, otorgaba también a la Torre más alta del mundo el premio como una de las Siete Maravillas del Mundo.

Located in Taipei City, capital of the island of Taiwan to southern China, the Taipei 101 with its 509 meters height held the world record to date being the tallest skyscraper until just been inaugurated in the beginning This year 2010, the now famous Burj Dubai, with 828 meters high. Its design, which was conducted by the prestigious architectural firm of C. Y. Lee. & Partners, is inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and evokes the shape of a pagoda, 8 points, lucky number in this country. China is committed to build the tallest skyscraper in the world and it had to overcome several additional difficulties as the usual earthquake in this geographical area for much of the year. The calculations give a foundation for nothing less that 380 piles 80 meters deep each. The superstructure of the building is interconnected with 36 columns, eight of them called "mega-columns" because of its size, lying like a ring around the perimeter of the building. These 36 columns are the support of the skyscraper and are tasked to transmit the loads to the foundation of the building.



The distribution of each plant is simple, the office space is located around a central core that hosts services elevators and emergency staircases. The building has 48 elevators built by Toshiba Company to offer the fastest and most efficient service in the world. On the ground 92, a huge steel ball weighing 680 tonnes held by strong cables and 8 hydraulic jacks give you the stability you need the building to withstand earthquakes of up to 7 points on the Richter scale and winds of over 450 km . / h. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), headquartered in Chicago, also give it to several records Taipei 101, Maximum structural height: 509 meters, height of highest occupied floor: 438 feet, and height of the roof: 448 meters. The famous Discovery Channel Television Station granted the award to the Tower of Taipei as one of the Seven Wonders of Engineering in 2005. Antes de seguir adelante elaborando nuevos libros relacionados con la arquitectura moderna y contemporánea, sentí la necesidad de conocer y estudiar más en profundidad las grandes obras de arquitectura e ingeniería más grandes e importantes de toda la historia. De esta forma, a través de este exhaustivo estudio que considero tan interesante, surgió la idea de elaborar un nuevo libro al que titulé "CONSTRUCCIONES FAMOSAS".

En este libro apasionante he pretendido recoger las construcciones más famosas del mundo por excelencia desde finales del siglo IXX hasta comienzos del siglo XXI. El inicio del libro cuenta con una amplia introducción en la que se ha hecho un repaso del mundo del arte desde el punto de vista arquitectónico desde sus orígenes hasta nuestros días a lo largo de toda la historia.

El contenido lo conforman veinte importantísimas obras famosas ordenadas por la fecha en la que fueron construidas, que definen un libro único, en el que nunca antes se habían agrupado tantas obras importantes y representativas a nivel mundial. Aunque podrían ser muchas más, estas veinte " Construcciones famosas " resumen la evolución de la arquitectura y la ingeniería a través de los diferentes estilos arquitectónicos más importantes de los últimos tiempos. Haciendo un recorrido por el Estilo Internacional, el Art Decó, o estilos más modernos como el High tech, el Deconstructivismo, o el Estilo Contemporáneo, repasan, gracias al importante diseño de sus creadores, la evolución de las obras arquitectónicas más importantes de nuestro tiempo.

Con el inicio de la era moderna, ciudades de todo el mundo se han nutrido de auténticos iconos diseñados por verdaderos expertos en la materia. Todo el mundo se quiere fotografiar al lado de la Estatua de la Libertad, la Torre Eiffel, el Puente Colgante Golden Gate o el Coliseo Romano. Las personas que viven en alguna ciudad donde se ha construido una obra arquitectónica de este tipo, se pueden llegar a sentir totalmente identificadas con ellas con el paso del tiempo, lo que les da un valor simbólico muy especial, allá donde fueron construidas.

Before proceeding to develop new books related to modern and contemporary architecture, I felt the need to learn and study in depth the great works of architecture and engineering major and important in all history. Thus, through this comprehensive study to consider as interesting, the idea of devising a new book which I titled "FAMOUS CONSTRUCTIONS".

In this fascinating book I have tried to collect the world's most famous constructions par excellence since the end of the IXX century until the early twenty-first century. The beginning of the book has an extensive introduction which has been a review of the art world from the architectural point of view from its origins to the present day throughout history.

The content is very important make up twenty famous works ordered by the date on which they were built, which define a unique book, which never before had gathered so many important works representative worldwide. Although there could be many more, these twenty "Constructions famous" summarize the evolution of architecture and engineering through the important architectural styles of recent times. Making a tour of the International Style, Art Deco, or more modern styles such as the High tech, the Deconstructivism, or contemporary style, review, thanks to the major design of its creators, the evolution of the most important architectural works of our time .

With the start of the modern era, cities around the world have been nourished by authentic icons designed by true experts. Everyone wants to photograph next to the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, the Golden Gate Suspension Bridge or the Roman Coliseum. People living in a city where he has built an architectural work of this kind, we may feel completely identified with them over time, which gives them a special symbolic value, wherever they were built.

La combinación del arte de la escritura con la fotografía arquitectónica profesional, motivó que buscase la forma de canalizar todo ese enorme trabajo autodidacta a través de la maquetación de los libros que iba realizando. De forma que con mi experiencia hasta la fecha y sin olvidar las grandes obras de arquitectura e ingeniería más grandes e importantes de toda la historia, comenzé a escribir mis primeros libros relacionados con la arquitectura moderna y contemporánea...



Arquitectos de reconocido prestigio internacional por su larga y exitosa trayectoria como Santiago Calatrava, Norman Foster o Frank Gehry, etc, serán objeto de un estudio exhaustivo de aquí en adelante...



Otros de los temas muy interesantes son los Rascacielos y los Puentes. Los Rascacielos, por ejemplo, es uno de los temas más interesantes debido a la gran transformación que esta surgiendo en el mundo de la arquitectura, mediante estos gigantes de acero, vidrio y hormigón, en gran medida debido a los nuevos materiales y la gran cantidad de innovaciones tecnológicas que se están produciendo en este interesante mundo que no cesa y que nos sigue sorprendiendo cada día.



Si echamos la mirada un poco hacia atrás, se creía que después de los tristes atentados del 11S se iba a terminar la idea de seguir construyendo edificios de gran altura; de hecho, se paralizaron los rascacielos que se encontraban en ese momento en construcción. Después de un breve paréntesis, la carrera por construir el rascacielos más alto del mundo no ha hecho más que comenzar.



Numerosas ciudades de todo el mundo siguen construyendo rascacielos a pasos agigantados. Dubai es, hoy por hoy, sin lugar a dudas, la ciudad en mayor crecimiento de los últimos años. En esta importante ciudad se construye actualmente el Burj Dubai, que se convertirá en 2.010 en el rascacielos más alto del mundo, obra de la prestigiosa firma de arquitectos, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, SOM.



Mi trabajo, a partir de este momento, y sin olvidar las grandes obras de arquitectura e ingeniería más grandes de toda la historia, consistirá en dar a conocer toda la nueva arquitectura e ingeniería que se está desarrollando a finales del Siglo XX y comienzos del Siglo XXI. Asímismo, los grandes Arquitectos contemporáneos también serán objeto de estudio en el futuro...



Mi gran pasión son los Rascacielos, Puentes y Edificios interesantes...

Esto se traslada a la Arquitectura y Arquitectos Contemporáneos, la Arquitectura moderna y Antoni Gaudí. Para mí el inicio de la era moderna comienza entre los años 1.884-1.886 con la construcción de la Estatua de la Libertad hasta nuestros días...

No puedo ocultar que me gusta especialmente la obra de Miguel Ángel Buonarroti, Antoni Gaudí y Santiago Calatrava...
